A moving testimonial to the veterans of the Confederate Army gathered in Richmond, VA for their annual parade. Douglas Southall Freeman, Editor of Richmond New Leader wrote this editorial. Large volume - apprx. 13" tall. Protective tissue pages have some tears, photos are attached to pages showing monuments in Richmond, VA. Some chipping to spine ends, corners, missing last 1" +/- of spine, otherwise a copy in very good condition. INSCRIBED and DATED by Douglas Southall Freeman. " To Andrew P. Reed in appreciation of a fine day with him on a famous road and with high admiration" June 25, 1948 Title page also has another signature and date-not able to read signature. Inscribed by Author(s).
